KOALA RESCUE Inc recognises that koalas face significant challenges and koala populations are decreasing. Our hope is that the future can be secured for this iconic and beautifully unique marsupial.

We are committed to providing the best possible outcome for koalas requiring rescue, rehabilitation and release.

Saving Koalas for Tomorrow

We encourage you to:

• Learn more about this unique marsupial.
• Lobby the government to protect koala habitat.
• Develop an awareness of koala’s vulnerability to vehicle strikes.
• Lobby councils to erect koala signs in known koala areas accessible to the public, to maintain koala corridors between areas of habitat.
• Be a responsible dog owner by maintaining your dog on a lead, and, overnight, by securing your dog inside or restricting their yard movement.
• Plant koala food trees (eg: River Red Gum, Blue Gum, Manna Gum, Stringybark, Grey box).
